Vikrant Massey Returns to Film Set After Shocking "Quit" Post, Shoots with Shanaya Kapoor

In an unexpected turn of events, Vikrant Massey, who recently shocked his fans with a cryptic Instagram post suggesting a break from acting, has returned to the film set. The actor was spotted shooting for his upcoming film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan in Dehradun alongside Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor. The duo was photographed together, with the video also capturing the actor’s interaction with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.

Massey had earlier raised eyebrows on Monday when he posted on Instagram about meeting fans “one last time” in 2025, fueling speculation that he might be quitting acting. However, the actor quickly clarified the confusion a day later, assuring fans that he was only taking a “long break” and not retiring from his acting career. In a statement, Vikrant emphasized, “Acting is all I can do, and it has given me everything I have. My physical and mental health have taken a hit, and I want to take some time off to focus on my family and health.” He further explained that he was feeling a sense of monotony and wanted to recalibrate his life and craft before returning to work.

Vikrant’s original post on Instagram had read, “The last few years and beyond have been phenomenal. I thank each and every one of you for your indelible support. But as I move forward, I realise it’s time to recalibrate and go back home. As a Husband, Father and a Son. And also as an Actor.” He added, “Coming 2025, we would meet each other for one last time. Until time deems right. Last 2 movies and many a years of memories. Thank you again. For everything and everything in between.”

Despite his announcement, the actor has continued with his professional commitments. Along with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, Vikrant is also working on another project titled Yaar Jigri.

On a separate note, Vikrant recently had the honor of attending a special screening of his film The Sabarmati Report at the Parliament Library, which was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries. Expressing his pride, Vikrant said, “Personally, getting the opportunity to watch The Sabarmati Report with the Prime Minister of our country is the highest point in my career.”

As for his retirement plans, the actor opted not to comment further when asked, leaving fans to speculate on his future in the industry. Nonetheless, with his return to the sets and ongoing projects, it seems that Vikrant Massey’s break may be shorter than anticipated.
