Nargis Fakhri Breaks Silence After Sister's Arrest in Murder Case: Shares Post with Co-Stars

Nargis Fakhri has made her first public post on social media since her sister, Aliya Fakhri, was arrested in the United States on charges of murder. Although Nargis has largely remained silent about the controversy surrounding her sister’s legal troubles, her recent Instagram story has gone viral, capturing widespread attention.

Instagram Post Raises Eyebrows

In her post, Nargis shared a photo with her Housefull 5 co-stars, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sonam Bajwa, as they posed together on set. The trio appeared excited and ready for the next phase of their work. Nargis wrote in the caption, “We are coming for you,” which many speculate may have a symbolic meaning, though Nargis did not address her sister’s arrest directly.

The post has sparked curiosity, particularly in light of the ongoing legal drama surrounding Aliya Fakhri’s arrest. Aliya was taken into custody after allegedly being involved in the tragic deaths of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, and his friend, Anastasia Ettienne, in a suspected arson case in Queens, New York. Reports suggest that Aliya set fire to a two-storey garage by lighting a heap of garbage, leading to the deaths of the two victims. This occurred after Jacobs reportedly rejected her plea to reconcile their relationship.

Family Divided

Nargis Fakhri has reportedly been estranged from her sister for over 20 years and only learned of the incident through news outlets. A source close to Nargis confirmed this information to India Today, emphasizing the actor’s lack of communication with Aliya for decades.

Meanwhile, their mother has publicly defended Aliya, stating that she could not believe her daughter would commit such a crime. She described Aliya as a caring person who always tried to help others, making it difficult to reconcile this image with the serious charges she now faces.

Aliya Fakhri’s Charges

Aliya now faces a range of charges, including first-degree and second-degree murder, as well as an arson charge. She is scheduled to appear in court on December 9. The case has drawn significant attention, both in the US and internationally, given the gravity of the charges and the involvement of a prominent actress’ family member.

Upcoming Projects: Housefull 5

On the professional front, Nargis Fakhri continues to work on her upcoming film, Housefull 5. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, this film is the latest installment in the popular comedy franchise. The movie, slated for release in June 2025, also stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sanjay Dutt, alongside Nargis, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Sonam Bajwa.

While Nargis Fakhri has not commented directly on her sister’s situation, her recent post with her co-stars has left fans wondering if it carries deeper significance. As the case unfolds, all eyes will be on Nargis and her family’s reactions to the ongoing legal proceedings.
