Devara Box Office Collection Day 4: Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor's Film Passes Crucial Monday Test, Total Reaches ₹173.1 Crore

Part 1, starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, has proven its box office strength after debuting in theatres on September 27. Directed by Koratala Siva, the film had an impressive weekend, with collections of ₹38.2 crore on Saturday and ₹39.9 crore on Sunday. As Monday, often referred to as the crucial test for a film’s long-term success, rolled around, Devara managed to collect ₹12.5 crore, according to Sacnilk, despite a significant drop in numbers. This brings the film’s total domestic box office collection to ₹173.1 crore after just four days.

A Strong Weekend for Devara

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the weekend box office results for Devara, stating that the film “lives up to the mighty expectations.” He emphasized the pressure on Jr NTR to perform after the success of his previous blockbuster RRR. Adarsh further noted that Devara reaffirmed the actor’s star power by delivering impressive numbers.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Taran Adarsh added, “Despite the low-key buzz around the Hindi version, Devara delivered a good score in its opening weekend. The mass circuits performed exceptionally well, while major national chains, which started slow on Friday morning, saw a significant pickup by the weekend.”

Looking ahead, Adarsh pointed out that the film could see another boost in collections thanks to the upcoming Gandhi Jayanti holiday on Wednesday. However, he cautioned that the Monday and Tuesday figures would need to hold steady to ensure continued success.

About Devara: Part 1

Devara: Part 1 is a post-independence action drama that revolves around a man named Devara, played by Jr NTR, who is determined to protect his community from evil forces. The story features Devara’s confrontation with his former friend Bhaira, played by Saif Ali Khan, who is involved in smuggling illegal weapons. Rather than accepting the corrupt path, Devara becomes a vigilante and joins forces with the Indian Coast Guard to fight for justice. As the plot unfolds, Devara’s son Varadha (also portrayed by Jr NTR) gets entangled in Bhaira’s schemes, and the two must unite to face their common enemy.

The film features Janhvi Kapoor as Thangam, Devara’s love interest, and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist, Bhaira. The supporting cast includes Shruti Marathe, Zarina Wahab, and Talluri Rameswari. Devara: Part 1 is produced by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts.
