The actor categorically denied any plans of getting engaged or married in February, expressing amusement at the recurring nature of these speculations.
“I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumor every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married,” said Vijay Deverakonda during the interview.
The speculation gained momentum following a report by News18 Telugu, which suggested that Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna were set to make a formal announcement about their engagement in the second week of February. The duo, who has shared the screen in hit films like “Geetha Govindam” and “Dear Comrade,” has been the subject of dating rumors for quite some time.
Last year, when reports surfaced claiming that the actors were living together, Rashmika Mandanna took to social media to address the speculation. On X (formerly known as Twitter), she playfully responded, saying, “Aiyoooo.. don’t overthink it babu.”

When asked about Vijay Deverakonda’s relationship status, Ananya hinted, “He is in a rush… a rush to meet Mika Singh’s line.” This playful remark was perceived as a subtle nod to Rashmika Mandanna, the subject of the ongoing dating rumors.
