After a successful run at the box office, Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s romantic drama Thandel is now set to entertain audiences on OTT. Netflix has officially announced the film’s digital release, much to the excitement of fans.

Thandel’s OTT Release Date Announced

On Sunday, Netflix took to social media to reveal that Thandel will be available for streaming from March 7. The platform shared a poster featuring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, captioning it, “A journey across borders, a story beyond limits. Watch Thandel, out 7 March on Netflix in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam!”

About Thandel

Directed by Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts, Thandel is inspired by a real-life incident where fishermen from Srikakulam accidentally drifted into Pakistani waters while fishing near Gujarat. The film features Prakash Belawadi, Aadukalam Naren, Karunakaran, and Kalpalatha in pivotal roles alongside Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi.

Box Office Success

Despite mixed reviews from critics and audiences, Thandel proved to be a major box office success. According to Sacnilk, the film collected ₹88.25 crore worldwide, with ₹65.49 crore coming from the domestic market. However, the makers claim it has surpassed ₹100 crore globally. On February 16, Thandel’s official social media page announced that the film had grossed over ₹100 crore, calling it a “blockbuster love tsunami” and releasing new promotional posters. This marks Naga Chaitanya’s first-ever film to enter the ₹100 crore club, a significant milestone after his previous films Thank You and Custody underperformed.

What’s Next for Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya?

While Naga Chaitanya has yet to announce his next project, Sai Pallavi is set to play Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s highly anticipated film Ramayana. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, along with Ravi Dubey and Sunny Deol in key roles. The mythological epic is planned as a two-part release, with the first installment expected to hit cinemas in 2026.
