Sunny Deol Denies Signing New Film After Gadar 2 Success: Border 2 Speculations Addressed

Amidst swirling rumors about his involvement in the sequel to the iconic film “Border,” actor Sunny Deol has come forward to dismiss speculations and set the record straight. Following reports suggesting his participation in “Border 2,” Sunny Deol has clarified that he has not officially signed any new film at this time. Instead, he’s concentrating on the resounding success of “Gadar 2,” which is poised to cross the impressive ₹350 crore nett mark in India.

Sunny Deol, who has been riding high on the triumph of “Gadar 2,” took to Instagram to share a note addressing the ongoing rumors. His note affirmed, “Some news has been circulating of me signing a few films, I would like to inform that currently I am only concentrating on Gadar 2 and receiving all your love. I have not signed any film and would be announcing something special soon at the right time. Till then keep showering your love on Tara Singh and Gadar 2.”

The clarification from the acclaimed actor comes after a Pinkvilla report claimed that he was set to feature in “Border 2.” The source was cited as saying, “Being a heavy-on action film, the team will be casting actors from the younger generation rather than bringing together the entire troop of Border. Sunny Deol will probably be the only actor from Border, who will be a part of Border 2 as well.” The report further mentioned that the film’s official announcement is expected soon.

The proposed sequel to “Border” is said to be in the planning stage for 2-3 years and is rumored to be centered around the 1971 Indo-Pak war. According to sources, the film will focus on a new generation of actors while retaining Sunny Deol’s involvement as a link to the original movie.

Sunny Deol’s recent success, “Gadar 2,” has been making waves at the box office, both domestically and internationally. With earnings reaching ₹236 crore and showing no signs of slowing down, the film is projected to surpass the remarkable ₹400 crore milestone. Starring Ameesh Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Gaurav Chopra, Rakesh Bedi, and more, “Gadar 2” continues to capture audience attention under the direction of Anil Sharma.

As Sunny Deol navigates through the waves of rumors and success, fans eagerly await further updates and announcements about his future projects. The actor’s dedication to producing impactful films, akin to “Gadar 2,” reaffirms his commitment to delivering quality entertainment to his audience.
