As the blockbuster movie “Jawan” continues to shatter box office records, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, alongside the film’s cast, celebrated its success at a press conference in Mumbai. The highlight of the event was a scintillating dance performance by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone to the film’s hit musical number “Chaleya.” The video of their electrifying performance has gone viral, further igniting the buzz around the film.

Deepika Padukone, who makes a special appearance in “Jawan,” stole the limelight at the event in a stunning black-and-white sari. The star-studded gathering also featured music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who sang alongside rapper Raja Kumari. Notably, Nayanthara, the film’s leading lady, couldn’t attend the event in Mumbai as she was in Chennai celebrating her mother’s birthday.

During the event, Shah Rukh Khan surprised fans by sharing the story of how he envisioned casting Deepika Padukone as Aishwarya in “Jawan.” He humorously recounted, “It’s funny, but when I watched her in ‘Besharam Rang,’ I asked Pooja (Dadlani, his manager), ‘Ye maa ke role mein kaisi lagegi?'” This revelation added a fascinating layer to their on-screen collaboration.

We have a sense of ownership over each other… I am one of the few people he is vulnerable with. There is so much trust and respect, and I think that luck is just the cherry on the top.”

“Jawan” marks the fifth collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan, with their previous projects including “Om Shanti Om,” “Chennai Express,” “Happy New Year,” and “Pathaan.”
