Rupali Ganguly Denies Rumours of Quitting Anupamaa: Actor Shares Her Commitment to the Show

Actor Rupali Ganguly has come forward to address and dismiss the circulating rumours suggesting that she might be quitting the hit television show Anupamaa in the coming months. These speculations had been doing the rounds on the internet, but Rupali has clarified that she has no plans of leaving the popular show and remains committed to it for as long as it runs.

Speaking to The Times of India, Rupali expressed her astonishment at the rumours, calling them “strange” and “ridiculous.” She reassured her fans and viewers, emphasizing that Anupamaa is not just a job for her but an emotional connection, a second home. The actor shared that her dedication to the show is deeply rooted in gratitude towards its creators, especially Rajan Shahi, who gave her the opportunity to be a part of it.

In her statement, Rupali said, “Every person has a core, and my core, I believe, is gratitude. My husband and I both believe that whatever Rajan Ji has given me—the recognition, the platform, the position—I will never be able to repay it in this lifetime. And Anupamaa is not just a show for me; it’s an emotion, it’s my home, my second home, all my fur babies are here, and the unit has become like a family. So, does anyone leave their family, their home?”

She added, “If Rajan Ji ever says that he doesn’t need me anymore, then I might fight with him, or argue, and say, ‘Please let me stay in Anupamaa.’ I opened the gate for this show, and I will remain part of this show till the end.”

Rupali went on to express her gratitude to the show’s makers and her fans. She stressed that the show’s success and her role in it have significantly contributed to her career, and she will continue working hard to make the show even more successful. “I will continue to work hard, with full dedication and passion,” she said. “I hope to God that this journey goes on for years. But this is just the beginning; the best is yet to come.”

Both Rupali and the show’s creators, Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi, have firmly denied the exit rumours and assured fans that they are focused on the continued success of the show. Rupali concluded by urging viewers to not entertain baseless speculations and to keep supporting Anupamaa.

Anupamaa, which has gained a massive fanbase, explores the complex dynamics between parents and children, as well as the challenges of mature relationships. The show, produced by Rajan Shahi, marked a significant return for Rupali Ganguly to television and continues to be one of the most loved shows on the Indian small screen.

Rupali’s heartfelt message has reassured her supporters that Anupamaa is here to stay, and she will remain a dedicated part of its journey.
