Actress Rashmika Mandanna recently found herself in a nerve-wracking situation as the Air Vistara flight she was traveling on had to make an emergency landing due to a technical issue. Sharing the harrowing experience on her Instagram account, Mandanna wrote, “Just FYI this is how we escaped death today.”
The incident occurred while the actor was en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad, accompanied by fellow actor Shraddha Das. Just 30 minutes after takeoff, turbulence and technical difficulties forced the flight to return to Mumbai. Air Vistara confirmed that the decision to turn back was a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of all passengers.
“Shortly after take-off, a technical snag was detected on Vistara flight UK531 operating from Mumbai to Hyderabad on 17 February 2024. As a precautionary step, in accordance with the standard operating procedures, the pilots decided to turn-back and landed the flight safely at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International airport, Mumbai,” stated Air Vistara.
Efforts were swiftly made to minimize inconvenience to passengers, including arranging an alternate aircraft that departed shortly after to resume the journey. Rashmika Mandanna took to social media to share her shock, posting a selfie with Shraddha Das and captioning it with a chilling revelation about their near-death experience.
Passengers, including the two actresses, endured extreme turbulence before the decision was made to return to Mumbai for safety reasons. Mandanna, currently basking in the success of her recent movie “Animal,” is actively engaged in shooting her highly anticipated film, “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” where she will reprise her iconic role alongside Allu Arjun.
It’s not the first time Mandanna has made headlines outside of her film projects. Last year, the 27-year-old actress garnered attention when a deepfake video featuring her went viral on social media.
