
Superstar Rajinikanth has embarked on a spiritual retreat, traveling to Kedarnath and Badrinath in the Himalayas. This trip follows his recent visit to the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, showcasing his deep commitment to spirituality.
After flying from Chennai to Dehradun, Rajinikanth spoke to ANI at the Dehradun Airport about his spiritual journey. “Every year I used to get new experiences that made me continue my spiritual journey again and again. I believe even this time, (I) will get new experiences,” he said, highlighting how these trips contribute to his personal growth. He emphasized the importance of spirituality, stating, “The whole world needs spirituality, as it’s important for every human being. Being spiritual means experiencing peace and tranquility, and fundamentally, it involves believing in God.”
Rajinikanth’s spiritual trip began in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and he plans to visit more sacred caves in the Himalayas. This journey is not his first to the region, as he has made several spiritual trips to the Himalayas in the past.
In addition to his spiritual endeavors, Rajinikanth recently received the prestigious UAE Golden Visa from the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi. Expressing his gratitude, he thanked the Abu Dhabi government and his friend, MA Yusuff Ali, chairman and managing director of Lulu Group, for their support in securing the visa. “I am deeply honoured to receive the prestigious UAE Golden visa from Abu Dhabi Govt…,” Rajinikanth stated in one of the viral videos.
On the professional front, Rajinikanth has completed the shoot for his upcoming movie Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film, which is Rajinikanth’s 170th, is set for a worldwide release in October this year. Vettaiyan features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dushara Vijayan. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.
Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan were recently seen filming scenes together in Mumbai. Amitabh shared a heartfelt post on Instagram featuring a photo of the two stars, writing, “I am honoured and privileged to be with the Thala the Great Rajni again .. he hasn’t changed at all .. the same simple humble down to earth friend despite his stratospheric greatness !!!”
The title teaser for Vettaiyan was unveiled on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday, generating significant excitement among fans. The film’s shooting locations included Trivandrum, Tirunelveli, and Tuticorin.
Rajinikanth’s last appearance was in his daughter Aishwarya’s film Lal Salaam. The Tamil-language sports drama addresses themes of caste oppression and religious discrimination and received mixed reviews. The film stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, with Rajinikanth making an extended cameo as Moideen Bhai.
