Pushpa 2 The Rule Tickets Soar Beyond ₹2400 in Delhi, Mumbai; Advance Sales Soar High

The much-awaited sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule, has already taken the box office by storm even before its release. The film, which hits theatres on December 5, has recorded phenomenal demand during its advance booking phase, with ticket prices in premium theatres exceeding ₹2400.

Advance Bookings Break Records

Advance booking for the Hindi version of Pushpa 2: The Rule has opened in select territories, particularly in Delhi and Mumbai. The ticket prices, especially in luxury theatres, reflect the film’s pan-India appeal. In Delhi’s PVR Director’s Cut, tickets for the Hindi 2D version are priced at a staggering ₹2400, while Mumbai’s Maison PVR: Jio World Drive offers tickets for ₹2100.

IMAX and 3D screenings further amplify the price surge. Recliner seats at Delhi’s PVR Select City Walk for an opening-night IMAX show are priced at ₹1860, while similar options in Mumbai range from ₹1500 to ₹1700. Despite these exorbitant prices, most shows are nearly sold out, with booking platforms like BookMyShow showing “filling fast” status for many theatres.

Special Price Hike in Telangana

In the Telugu-speaking states, where the film is expected to have its strongest performance, advance bookings are yet to fully open. However, the Telangana government has permitted a special fan screening on December 4 at 9:30 PM, a day before the official release. Exhibitors are allowed to price tickets for this show up to ₹800, a significant hike from the usual regulated ticket rates in the southern states.

Expectations Soar for Pushpa 2

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to continue the saga of its titular character, portrayed by Allu Arjun, and reunites the star with Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna in their original roles. The first part, Pushpa: The Rise, became a pan-India sensation, making this sequel one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year.

Fans are clearly willing to pay a premium for what is expected to be an action-packed cinematic experience. With record-breaking advance bookings and unprecedented demand, Pushpa 2: The Rule is poised for a spectacular opening.
