The anticipation for the upcoming sci-fi film ‘Kalki 2898 – AD’ is reaching new heights as the makers unveiled a captivating new poster featuring lead actor Prabhas. The poster, released on Wednesday, showcases Prabhas in full armor standing amidst a dystopian cityscape, with the intriguing tagline “Everything is about to change.”

Alongside the poster release, the makers announced that the highly-awaited trailer for ‘Kalki 2898 – AD’ will be unveiled on June 10. The caption accompanying the poster teased, “A new world awaits. Kalki 2898 AD trailer on June 10th.”

Directed by Nag Ashwin, known for his National Award-winning film ‘Mahanati,’ ‘Kalki 2898 – AD’ promises to immerse audiences in a futuristic world. The film features an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, who represent the forces uniting to combat the darkness engulfing their world.

Earlier in April, the makers had shared a poster featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, hinting at a collaborative effort to shape a better future. The caption on that poster teased, “All the forces come together for a better tomorrow on 27-06-2024,” indicating a significant date related to the film’s narrative.

‘Kalki 2898 – AD’ marks the first collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Prabhas, while Deepika and Amitabh Bachchan previously starred together in the acclaimed film ‘Piku.’ Additionally, they are set to share screen space in the upcoming Hindi remake of ‘The Intern,’ originally featuring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro.

The film is produced by Aswini Dutt, the esteemed founder of Vyjayanthi Movies, and is slated for release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages, offering a pan-Indian cinematic experience to audiences.
