Born on May 19, 1990, in Amravati, Maharashtra, Sangramsingh’s life story is a testament to his determination and passion for the arts.

Sangramsingh Thakur’s roots trace back to Amravati, where he was born to parents Rajkumarsingh Thakur and Vanita Thakur. His early life was filled with family love and values, growing up with an elder sister, Bhumika Chauhan, and a younger brother, Nandrajsingh Thakur. Their father’s service to the Maharashtra Government’s irrigation department and their mother’s job in the District court of Nagpur brought stability to their lives.

Tragedy struck in 1998 when Sangramsingh’s father passed away. The family, devastated by the loss, relocated to Nagpur to rebuild their lives together.

Sangramsingh’s fascination with the arts began at a young age. By the time he was 10, he had moved to Nagpur with his family, and his passion for acting started to blossom. Even in his school days, he showcased his talent by taking on diverse roles, including portraying a mother in a play during his fifth grade. This early exposure laid the foundation for his future acting endeavors.

During his late teenage years, Sangramsingh stepped onto the stage, participating in various theater plays. This marked the beginning of his journey into the world of performing arts.

From Short Films to Silver Screen

Sangramsingh Thakur’s acting career officially kicked off in 2009. His initial years were marked by appearances in a series of short films between 2012 and 2016. In 2016, his big break arrived when he starred alongside Sanjay Mishra in the Bollywood film “Rakkhosh.”

From there, Sangramsingh’s career gained momentum as he ventured into web series, Hindi and Marathi films, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Some of his notable works include “Drishtibhram,” “Kinaryavarachi Shala,” “Angutha,” “Indian Predator: Murder In A Courtroom,” “Avni Ki Kismat,” “Ghaath,” “Soil and Soul,” and “Commando.”

Personal Life and Achievements

On January 20, 2014, Sangramsingh Thakur tied the knot with Shilpa Thakur. The couple is blessed with a son named Rudrapratapsingh Thakur, born in 2015.

In his remarkable journey, Sangramsingh has also achieved recognition for his work. His short film “Footsteps” earned the prestigious Platinum Film Of The Year 2017 award in the India Film Project 50 Hour Film Making Challenge.

Future Ventures and Unwavering Spirit

Sangramsingh’s passion for acting continues to drive him as he embraces upcoming projects like “Avni Ki Kismat” alongside Sanjay Suri and Ashlesha Thakur, “Ghaath” with Milind Shinde and Jitendra Joshi, and “Soil and Soul” with Anant Jog. He also stars in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s “Commando” web series, set to captivate audiences on Disney Plus Hotstar in 2023 and Netflix’s Docu- Series Indian Predator: Murder In A Courtroom.
