“Merry Christmas” weaves together elements of romance, crime, and suspense against the backdrop of 1980s Bombay, showcasing Sriram Raghavan’s signature style of storytelling. The narrative follows the intriguing encounter between Albert (played by Vijay Sethupathi), who returns to the city, and a lonely mother named Maria (portrayed by Katrina Kaif) and her child on a fateful Christmas Eve.
