In exciting news for fans, actor Jr NTR has all but confirmed his collaboration with director Nelson Dilipkumar for an upcoming action film under the banner of producer Naga Vamsi. The announcement was made in Jr NTR’s signature playful style during the success meet of the film Mad Square.
While speaking at the event, the Devara star indirectly acknowledged the upcoming project and praised producer Vamsi. “If I talk about Vamsi too much, maybe he’ll get dishti (nazar). He has gotten used to good happening to him. We’re about to do something soon. He will announce it soon when he can. The day we announce it, I’ll let Vamsi deal with you (his fans),” Jr NTR said, sparking cheers from the audience.
What We Know So Far
While an official announcement is yet to be made, reports from Pinkvilla last month revealed that the film will be a one-of-a-kind action entertainer expected to go on floors in the second half of 2026. Nelson Dilipkumar, best known for Jailer and Doctor, is expected to bring his unique blend of dark comedy and action to this much-anticipated collaboration.
Jr NTR’s Busy Lineup
The actor is on a roll with a slew of high-profile projects lined up. He was last seen in Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, where he played dual roles—Devara and Varadha. The film, a gritty coastal action drama, released in multiple languages and featured Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead.
Up next, Jr NTR will appear in YRF’s War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. The film is scheduled to release on August 14, 2025, just ahead of Independence Day.
Following War 2, the actor is expected to star in Dragon in 2026, with either Devara Part 2 or Nelson’s project releasing in 2027. There are also ongoing discussions for a two-part film with the director of Hi Nanna.
With an action-packed lineup, Jr NTR is set to dominate the big screen over the next few years. Fans now eagerly await the official confirmation and first-look announcement of his film with Nelson Dilipkumar and Naga Vamsi.
