"Mr & Mrs Mahi" Crosses ₹20 Crore Mark at Box Office on Day 5

The romantic sports drama “Mr & Mrs Mahi,” starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, continues its successful run at the box office, crossing the ₹20 crore mark on its fifth day of release. The film, directed by Sharan Sharma, has garnered ₹21.10 crore in total collections.

On its fifth day, “Mr & Mrs Mahi” collected ₹2.10 crore, marking a slight dip from previous days but maintaining a steady performance. The movie, which hit theaters on May 31, centers around a married couple’s passion for cricket and features Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra, and Rajesh Sharma in pivotal roles.

Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted the film’s decent hold at the box office on its first Monday, with urban centers leading the way in terms of audience turnout. However, the movie faced a potential impact on its fifth day due to Election Results.

Janhvi Kapoor, who plays a cricket enthusiast in the film, shared insights into her rigorous training sessions for the role, highlighting her dedication and commitment to the character. The film’s unique narrative, blending sports and marital discord, has received mixed reviews from critics, with Saibal Chatterjee giving it 2 out of 5 stars.

“Mr & Mrs Mahi” is a joint production of Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, adding to the film’s anticipation and commercial success.
