Siddharth Anand’s much-anticipated film, ‘Fighter,’ featuring the dynamic pairing of Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, has achieved a significant milestone by crossing the ₹150-crore mark at the domestic box office within just nine days of its release. The film, which hit theaters on January 25, continues to draw audiences with its captivating storyline and stellar performances.

On its ninth day, ‘Fighter’ secured a remarkable ₹5.35 crore across all languages, bringing its total box office collection to an impressive ₹151.85 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. Fans have shown immense appreciation for Hrithik Roshan’s portrayal of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Patty) and Deepika Padukone’s character, Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Mini).

In a behind-the-scenes video released before the film’s premiere, Deepika Padukone shared her thoughts on ‘Fighter,’ describing it as a complete entertainer with elements of patriotism, drama, humor, romance, and adrenaline. She emphasized the film’s ability to offer a wholesome cinematic experience, summarizing it in one word – “absolute.”

Anil Kapoor, who plays Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh in the movie, praised the film’s mainstream yet realistic approach to detailing, performances, and overall presentation. Kapoor highlighted that such films tend to have a lasting impact due to their engaging content.

Film critic Saibal Chatterjee, in his review, acknowledged the enduring camaraderie between the characters Shamsher and Sartaj Gill (Karan Singh Grover). He described ‘Fighter’ as Hrithik Roshan’s film, emphasizing that the screenplay keeps the audience engaged with the lead actor throughout. Chatterjee also praised the muted romance between the hero and Minal, set against a backdrop of tragedy, which provided the film with genuine and convincing moments.

‘Fighter’ is a joint venture between Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, and its success at the box office underscores the audience’s enthusiasm for this unique cinematic collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.
