The highly anticipated trailer for Devara Part-1, starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, has finally been released, but it has left many fans feeling underwhelmed. Following the massive success of Jr NTR’s previous film RRR in 2022, which broke numerous box office records, expectations for his next project were sky-high. The addition of Bollywood stars Janhvi Kapoor, making her Telugu debut, and Saif Ali Khan added to the excitement. However, the trailer failed to live up to the hype for many fans.
The 2-minute 39-second trailer was met with mixed reactions on social media. Several users took to platforms like Twitter to express their disappointment. One netizen shared their honest opinion, tweeting, “Underwhelming trailer! Same old South movie formula, nothing new or exciting. No reason to watch in theaters, star cast isn’t impressive enough. Better suited for YouTube, not a pan-India release. Disappointing and unoriginal.”
Another user criticized the over-the-top nature of the film, specifically referencing a shark scene in the trailer: “I found #DevaraTrailer absolute trash. I love larger than life movies, but this seemed too unrealistic. That shark scene is a joke. But despite all this, the fact that everyone is talking about it, even negatively, shows the awareness for the film is commendable.”
Some fans even compared Devara’s storyline to other recent Bollywood releases like Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera.
