Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the second-weekend box office figures on social media, noting that while Devara saw a dip on its second Friday, it bounced back on Saturday and Sunday. “Devara slipped on [second] Friday but recovered the shortfall over the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday… Should accumulate as much as it can, before the #Dussehra releases arrive,” he wrote. The second-weekend collections were as follows: ₹2.40 crore on Friday, ₹3.60 crore on Saturday, and ₹4.20 crore on Sunday. The Hindi version alone has brought in a total of ₹58.47 crore to date.
Breaking down the Hindi version’s performance, Taran Adarsh highlighted the first and second-weekend numbers: “Week 1: ₹48.27 crore. Weekend 2: ₹10.20 crore. Total: ₹58.47 crore. #India biz. #Hindi version.”
Jr NTR Reflects on Devara’s Underwater Sequences
In anticipation of Devara: Part 1‘s release, Jr NTR opened up about the challenging underwater action sequences in the film. Speaking in an interview with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Jr NTR shared insights into the demanding nature of the shoot, particularly the underwater scenes, which took place in a specially built pool at the studio.
“We had one option of shooting it in Kapoli because that was one of the biggest pools we had. And then, for some strange reason, we decided to overspend and create a pool in the studio for our action sequences. It was a massive pool, and we shot for about 30-35 odd days underwater. It is one of the key sequences of Devara, and again, we are speaking about a world in the coastal regions of India,” Jr NTR explained. These intricate water-based sequences have become a defining aspect of the film.
Devara: Part 1 features an ensemble cast including Zarina Wahab, Shine Tom Chacko, Abhimanyu Singh, Talluri Rameswari, Kalaiyarasan, and Shruti Marathe, alongside its lead stars. The film continues to hold strong at the box office as fans eagerly await the upcoming Dussehra releases.
