Pre-Release Event Canceled
Ahead of its release, the makers had planned a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad on September 22. However, the event was canceled due to an overwhelming crowd that exceeded the venue’s capacity, creating safety concerns. Jr NTR, who had been eagerly looking forward to the event, expressed his disappointment in a heartfelt video message shared by the film’s team on X (formerly Twitter).
In his message, Jr NTR conveyed his sadness over the cancellation, stating:
“I am deeply saddened that Devara’s event has been canceled, especially because I was looking forward to it so much. I enjoy spending time with you and sharing many interesting details about Devara.”
He went on to add:
“I was excited to share many details about Devara and explain the efforts put into the film. However, the event couldn’t happen for security reasons. I share your disappointment. My pain is more than yours. In my opinion, it is wrong to blame the producers or organizers for the cancellation of the event.”
Success at the Box Office
Despite the setback, Devara: Part 1 has been a massive box office success, drawing audiences from across India and beyond. The film’s compelling narrative, coupled with strong performances by its star-studded cast, has made it one of the top-grossing films in recent weeks. The film marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood stars Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, adding further excitement to its release.
Bankrolled by Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, Devara: Part 1 is the first installment in what is expected to be a major film franchise. With its ongoing box office success, fans eagerly await what’s in store for Devara: Part 2.
