Actor and stand-up comedian Arya Babbar has taken a dig at his half-brother Prateik Babbar‘s second marriage in his latest comedy gig, revealing that he and the Babbar family were not invited to the wedding. Arya’s humorous take on the situation has now gone viral.
Arya Babbar on Being Uninvited to Prateik’s Wedding
Prateik Babbar recently tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Priya Banerjee in an intimate ceremony at his late mother Smita Patil’s house in Bandra. However, Arya Babbar has now revealed that the Babbar family did not receive an invitation.
In a new stand-up comedy clip shared on YouTube on February 14, Arya quipped that he was happy for Prateik but was left disappointed upon realizing that he wasn’t invited. He sarcastically added that he gave his brother the benefit of the doubt, assuming someone had influenced him to make this decision.

Raj Babbar’s Advice on the Situation
Arya further revealed that he asked his father, veteran actor Raj Babbar, about what to say if the media questioned him about being uninvited to the wedding.
For the unversed, Raj Babbar first married Nadira Babbar in 1975, with whom he shares two children, Juhi Babbar and Arya Babbar. He later tied the knot with Smita Patil in 1983, and the couple welcomed their son, Prateik Babbar, in 1986. However, Smita passed away due to childbirth complications the same year.
Prateik was previously married to Sanya Sagar, with whom he tied the knot in 2019. Their marriage, however, was short-lived, and they officially divorced in 2023.
Prateik Babbar’s Upcoming Film
