Actor Mansoor Ali Khan Plans Defamation Case Against Trisha After Apology, Calls it 'Biggest Joke'

The aftermath of the controversy between actors Mansoor Ali Khan and Trisha Krishnan intensifies as legal action looms large following Khan’s intention to file a defamation case against Krishnan despite his recent apology.

Days after Khan publicly apologized to Krishnan over his perceived ‘misogynistic remarks,’ he announced his plans to sue the actor. In an interview with CNN News18, Khan confirmed his decision to file a defamation case against Krishnan, scheduled for action later in the day.

“We are doing it (filing defamation case) today. We have prepared all the documents. (My) lawyer will share all other information later today at 4 o’clock. He will meet the press,” stated Khan regarding his legal pursuit against Krishnan. Additionally, Khan dismissed his previous apology as the “biggest joke.”

The controversy erupted when Khan made derogatory comments about Krishnan, prompting her strong condemnation and accusations of sexism, disrespect, and misogyny. Despite Khan’s public apology, Krishnan responded gracefully, quoting, “To err is human, to forgive is divine.”

The conflict took a legal turn when the All Women Police Station of Thousand Lights, Chennai, summoned Khan for failing to appear earlier. The Chennai City Police subsequently registered a case against Khan under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (outraging the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code, following directives from the National Commission for Women.

Earlier, Khan attributed his absence to a throat infection when asked to appear before the police. However, legal proceedings ensued against him, sparking a brewing legal battle between the two actors.

The dispute escalated as Trisha Krishnan responded firmly to Khan’s disparaging remarks, asserting her stand against sharing screen space with someone she labeled as “pathetic.” Her stance garnered support from various quarters, including NCW member and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar, who denounced Khan’s comments as reflective of a “filthy mindset.”

The ongoing dispute between Mansoor Ali Khan and Trisha Krishnan continues to unfold, with legal actions and responses from both parties capturing attention in the entertainment industry.
