The much-anticipated action-packed film Yudhra, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Malavika Mohanan, has had a solid opening at the box office. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film debuted in theatres on September 20, and on its first day, it collected ₹4.50 crore, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. With a strong 46.54% occupancy for Hindi screenings, Yudhra is off to a promising start.
Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, Yudhra features a stellar ensemble cast including Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Shilpa Shukla. The film has been garnering attention not only for its star cast but also for its intense action sequences and gripping storyline.
Just a week before the film’s release, the makers launched a second trailer that gave viewers a sneak peek into the thrilling world of Yudhra. The trailer begins with the protagonist Yudhra, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi, waking from a nightmare, and is filled with powerful dialogues and adrenaline-pumping action. Raghav Juyal’s character, Shafiq, humorously teases Yudhra, saying, “Bhed ka shikar kya kiya bhai ne, abhi seedha sher maarna hai (You hunted a sheep, now you straight want to kill a lion).” This is followed by several edge-of-the-seat moments that highlight Yudhra’s resilience and fighting spirit.
In one scene from the trailer, a thug mistakenly believes Yudhra is unconscious, asking, “Ab iska kya kare? (What should be done with him?).” However, Yudhra quickly turns the tables, delivering a confident retort: “Karna kya hai? Ab meri baari. (What is to be done? Now, it’s my turn).” The trailer also shows Malavika Mohanan in action, hitting an attacker with a vase, adding to the intensity of the film.
Yudhra promises to be an action-packed thriller, offering viewers a high-octane cinematic experience. Sharing the excitement on Instagram, Siddhant Chaturvedi wrote, “The war is on. The battle begins in just 9 days. Are you ready? Yudhra Trailer 2 Out now.”
Malavika Mohanan, too, expressed her excitement about the film’s release in a previous interview, noting how different Yudhra is from her previous projects. “The film I have done with Siddhant Chaturvedi is produced by Excel Entertainment. In comparison to Thangalaan, it is a whole different world. That’s also exciting for me. All of these roles are so different from each other that it is nice for an actor to be a part of so many versatile films,” she said.
With its gripping storyline, stellar performances, and intense action, Yudhra has made an impressive mark on its opening day. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the film performs in the coming days as it continues to attract audiences to theatres.
