His Netflix stand-up special, “Vir Das: Landing,” triumphed in the Comedy Category, marking his second nomination and his maiden victory on this global platform. Sharing the accolade was the acclaimed UK show “Derry Girls” for its gripping third season.
The comedian, recognized for his previous nomination in 2021 with “For India,” expressed his elation in a statement shared by Netflix. Das conveyed, “This moment is truly surreal – an incredible honor that feels like a dream.
