At the trailer launch of the highly anticipated period drama Chhaava, actor Vicky Kaushal won hearts with a thoughtful gesture towards his co-star Rashmika Mandanna, who attended the event despite a recent leg injury.

Rashmika, dressed in a stunning red Anarkali outfit, was seen limping as she arrived at the venue. Noticing her discomfort, Vicky Kaushal immediately offered his assistance. Videos circulating on social media captured the touching moment when Vicky helped Rashmika onto the stage, ensuring she was seated comfortably before taking his own seat.

Rashmika’s Leg Injury

Rashmika Mandanna sustained her injury during a gym session on January 12. Despite her condition, she has been fulfilling her professional commitments. The actor shared an update on her social media, posting photos of her injured foot propped on a cushion.

“Well… happy New Year to me, I guess!” she captioned, adding humor to her situation. “Injured myself in my sacred gym shrine. Now I’m in ‘hop mode’ for the next few weeks or months. To my directors, sorry for the delay… I’ll be back soon enough, just making sure my legs are fit for action. In the meantime, I’ll be the one doing a highly advanced bunny hop workout!”

About Chhaava

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava is a historical drama centered on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal. Rashmika Mandanna portrays Maharani Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna takes on the role of Aurangzeb.

The film, based on Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel Chhava, chronicles the courageous reign of Sambhaji Maharaj following his coronation in 1681. The film is set to release in theatres on February 14, 2025.
