Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and his wife, Natasha Dalal, have officially revealed the name of their newborn daughter: Lara. The couple welcomed their baby girl on June 3, and while they initially shared the joyous news on social media, they kept the name under wraps until now.
Varun disclosed the name during an appearance on Amitabh Bachchan’s popular quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati. In a heartfelt moment, Varun shared, “We named her Lara. I’m still learning to connect with her; as you said, everything changes when a baby comes home.” This statement came after Bachchan noted that this Diwali would be particularly special with Goddess Lakshmi visiting Varun’s home.
During the show, Varun engaged in a lighthearted conversation with Bachchan about parenting. He inquired if the legendary actor’s children ever kept him awake at night, to which Bachchan laughed and recalled having a machine that would alert them to the slightest noise made by the baby, adding that it was a great relief for new parents.
To announce their daughter’s arrival, Varun and Natasha shared a charming animated video featuring their pet dog, Joey, holding a board that read “Welcome lil sis.” Varun expressed his gratitude for the well-wishes from fans, captioning the post, “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby. Hail Ram Hail Ram, Ram Rama Hail Hail Krishna Hail Krishna Krishna Hail Hail.”
Varun and Natasha tied the knot on January 24, 2021, in a private ceremony attended by family and close friends. The couple, who had been friends since their school days, announced their pregnancy in February, adding another layer of joy to their growing family.
With the arrival of baby Lara, Varun and Natasha are undoubtedly stepping into a new chapter filled with love and laughter as they embark on the adventure of parenthood.
