As comedian Trevor Noah concludes his India tour, he took a moment to express his appreciation to the Indian audience in a heartfelt thank-you note. The Emmy award-winning comedian not only thanked his fans for their warm hospitality and delicious cuisine but also made a special promise to the people of Bengaluru.
Mr. Noah’s ‘Off the Record’ tour in India was a much-anticipated event, but it faced unexpected setbacks when his shows in Bengaluru had to be canceled due to technical issues at the Manpho Convention Centre. Despite the disappointment, Trevor Noah extended his gratitude to fans who had eagerly anticipated his performances.
In a message that hinted at a return to the city, Trevor Noah wrote, “Bangalore, our story isn’t done, I’ll be back and next time we’ll make sure it’s the best show ever,” along with sharing pictures of his memorable India trip.
Explaining the unfortunate cancellation of the Bengaluru shows, Mr. Noah shared, “We tried everything, but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage, there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund, and again, I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment; this has never happened to us before.”
Despite the setbacks, the comedian’s India tour was well-received, with successful performances in other cities. Trevor Noah took the stage at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Delhi-NCR from September 22 to September 24 and in Mumbai on September 30.
While the Bengaluru shows may have been canceled, Trevor Noah’s promise to return indicates his commitment to his Indian fanbase and his desire to provide them with the outstanding show they had been eagerly awaiting. As the comedian bids farewell to India for now, his Indian fans can look forward to his return to the vibrant city of Bengaluru in the future.
