Ajay Devgn and Tabu Reunite in 'Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha' Teaser for a 'Timeless Love Story'

Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Tabu are set to reunite in the upcoming film “Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha,” directed by Neeraj Pandey. The teaser for the movie, released on Friday, offers a glimpse into what promises to be a “timeless love story.”

The 37-second teaser features Ajay Devgn and Tabu at a vibrant Holi celebration. Ajay, dressed in a white kurta, and Tabu, in a traditional salwar suit, apply gulaal to each other and share a romantic gaze. The scene shifts to a more intense moment, with Ajay in a prison uniform, showcasing his signature intensity. Ajay’s voice narrates their story, hinting at the complexities and separations caused by their actions.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, “Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha” is an epic musical romantic drama spanning 23 years, from 2000 to 2023. The film also features Jimmy Sheirgill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari in significant roles. The movie promises to be a unique musical love story, with its epic narrative and romantic drama extending across two decades.

The film’s soundtrack is composed by the acclaimed music director MM Kreem, who won an Oscar for “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR.” The music is expected to play a crucial role in the film, enhancing its emotional and dramatic arcs.

Ajay Devgn and Tabu have previously shared screen space in several successful films, including “Vijaypath,” “Haqeeqat,” “Thakshak,” “Drishyam,” “Golmaal Again,” “De De Pyaar De,” “Drishyam 2,” and “Bholaa,” directed by Devgn himself. Their on-screen chemistry is anticipated to be a highlight of this film as well.

Produced by Shital Bhatia, Narendra Hirawat, and Kumar Mangat Pathak of Panorama Studios, and presented by NH Studios and A Friday Filmworks Production, “Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha” was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, giving audiences an early peek into its narrative and cinematic style.

The film is slated for a theatrical release on July 5. Apart from this film, Ajay Devgn will be seen in “Singham Again,” “Raid 2,” and “Shaitaan 2.” His last appearance was in “Maidaan.” Tabu, recently seen in “Crew,” will also star in “Dune: Prophecy,” a prequel series to Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” franchise, which will stream in India next month on JioCinema.
