Stree 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao's Horror-Comedy Collects ₹228.45 Crore in India

Amar Kaushik’s sequel to his debut film, Stree, continues to make waves at the box office, showing strong numbers despite a slight dip on its first Monday.

Amar Kaushik’s latest venture, Stree 2, has been performing exceptionally well at the box office since its release, adding another successful chapter to the Maddock Supernatural Universe. According to reports from Sacnilk.com, the film witnessed a slight dip in collections on its first Monday but still managed to pull in an impressive ₹228.45 crore net in India over its first five days.

The film, which premiered with a collection of ₹8.5 crore ahead of its official release, made a stellar ₹51.8 crore on its opening day. However, the momentum slowed slightly on the first Friday, with collections dipping by 39.38% to ₹31.4 crore. The weekend saw a resurgence, with the film earning ₹43.98 crore on Saturday, a 39.65% increase, and an even more impressive ₹55.9 crore on Sunday, marking a 27.48% rise.

On Monday, Stree 2 continued to draw audiences, collecting an estimated ₹37 crore, bringing its total collection to ₹228.45 crore net in India.

Worldwide Success:

Stree 2 has also been a hit on the global stage. By Sunday, the film had crossed the ₹283 crore mark worldwide, as reported by Maddock Films, the movie’s producers. They celebrated the film’s success on social media, stating, “Stree 2 hits it out of the park, especially with Sunday numbers reading higher than that of August 15th! Records a massive ₹283 crore as worldwide weekend gross and an India nett of ₹204 crore — taking the love to a whole new level!”

Stree 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 blockbuster Stree, picking up where the original left off. The film stars Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana, who reprise their roles from the first film. Varun Dhawan also makes a cameo appearance as Bhediya.

The plot centers around Vicky, played by Rajkummar Rao, and his friends as they face a new supernatural threat in their town of Chanderi. This time, they must confront the villainous Sarkata and seek the help of Stree to defeat him.
