The latest Bollywood release “Crew,” starring Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, continues to make waves at the box office despite mixed reviews. The film, which hit theaters on March 29, made an impressive debut with a box office collection of ₹30 crore during its opening weekend. However, it faced a significant decline in earnings, with a 60% drop on its first Monday.
According to reports from Sacnilk, “Crew” collected ₹3.25 crore on its sixth day, maintaining a steady stream of revenue despite the weekday slowdown. The film’s overall earnings have now reached ₹40.70 crore over the span of six days.
“Crew” follows the story of three air hostesses played by Tabu, Kareena Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon, whose lives take a dramatic turn when they discover a dead passenger smuggling gold biscuits, amidst their airline Kohinoor facing financial troubles.
The film, released across 2000 theaters and premiering in over 75 countries at more than 1100 locations, had an estimated budget of ₹60 crore covering production and advertising costs. Despite its wide release, “Crew” has received mixed reviews from critics. Some have praised the performances of the lead actors but criticized the lack of originality and inspiration in the storytelling.
Critics like [Reviewer’s Name] gave “Crew” 2 stars out of 5, commenting, “Crew would have been much more fun if only it knew how to buoy things up with strokes of genuine inspiration. Yes, that is what is sorely missing in a film that goes for gold but fails to find a source of sustained sparkle.”
