Who is Sivasri Skandaprasad?
Sivasri Skandaprasad is a renowned Chennai-based Carnatic singer, Bharatanatyam dancer, and visual artist. Born on August 1, 1996, she hails from a distinguished family of musicians and dancers.
Her father, Seerkazhi Sri J Skandaprasad, is a renowned Mridangam maestro, while her grandfather, Kalaimamani late Seerkazhi R. Jayaraman, was an established musician. Her grandmother, Shanthi Jayaraman, was a well-known vocal accompanist for Bharatanatyam performances.
On social media platform X (formerly Twitter), she describes herself as a “Bharatiya, Musician, Dancer” and is also the founder of Ahuti, a platform dedicated to reviving traditional Indian art forms.

Sivasri holds a B.Tech in Bio-Engineering from SASTRA University, Thanjavur, and an MA in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras.
