The much-anticipated trailer of Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, has been released, promising an explosive action-packed Diwali treat. The latest installment of Shetty’s cop universe brings together a stellar ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Tiger Shroff, who join forces to take on the menacing Arjun Kapoor.
The film is set around the kidnapping of Kareena Kapoor’s character, Avni Kamat, by Arjun Kapoor, who plays the villain, Danger Lanka. As the story unfolds, Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) is on a mission to rescue his wife, leading to an all-out battle between good and evil.
In a captivating twist, Singham Again draws parallels to the Ramayana, with Ajay Devgn as Lord Rama, Ranveer Singh as Hanuman, and Tiger Shroff as Laxman. The trailer begins with a scene of Avni telling her son about the heroic acts of Ram. When the boy questions whether his father would do the same, Singham responds in true heroic style, “Google Bajirao Singham, and you’ll know who your father is.”
Ranveer Singh reprises his role as Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao, while Akshay Kumar returns as Veer Sooryavanshi. Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff are new additions to Shetty’s cop universe. Deepika is seen bringing humor to the mix, while Tiger Shroff shows off his action chops in some high-octane scenes.
The trailer highlights Maratha pride and valor, both staples in Rohit Shetty’s cinematic universe, with the film expected to continue the successful run of the Singham franchise. From the 2011 Singham, which featured Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal, to Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021), the franchise has consistently delivered box office hits.
