Rohit Shetty’s highly anticipated film Singham Again has made a thunderous debut at the box office, collecting a staggering ₹65 crore worldwide on its opening day. Released during the Diwali festivities, the latest installment in Shetty’s cop universe features an impressive ensemble cast led by Ajay Devgn, alongside Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar.
According to the film’s producers, Singham Again has achieved the biggest opening day for a Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn collaboration, surpassing expectations and thrilling audiences across the nation. The film’s strong ticket sales and positive word-of-mouth promise a prosperous weekend ahead, making it the second highest opening of the year, just behind Stree 2.
Jyoti Deshpande, President of Media and Content Business at Reliance Industries Limited, shared insights on the film’s performance. “We promised audiences a mass entertainer perfect for Diwali celebrations with the entire family, and that’s exactly what we delivered. Singham Again is a star-studded spectacle tailor-made for the big screen,” she said. Deshpande also noted that the film’s success contributed to the highest single-day box office collection in Indian cinema history, with an estimated ₹124 crores across all languages.
The film’s release strategy included showcasing in over 2,000 screens internationally, marking a significant global presence. This includes 197 screens in Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji, more than 760 screens in North America, and 224 screens in the UK and Ireland. In Canada, Singham Again dominates the box office, with Cineplex accounting for 80% of the country’s ticket sales.
As a family entertainer, Singham Again combines drama, emotion, and high-octane action, appealing to audiences of all ages. The film boasts a stellar cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, with a special cameo by Salman Khan.
