"Supernatural Thriller 'Shaitaan' Crosses ₹50 Crore Mark in India: Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika Impress at Box Office"

In a triumph for the Indian film industry, the supernatural thriller “Shaitaan” has emerged as a box office success, crossing the impressive milestone of ₹50 crore in India within just three days of its release.

Starring the formidable trio of Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika, and directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Vikas Bahl, “Shaitaan” has been captivating audiences since its launch on March 8. According to early estimates, the film amassed around ₹20 crore on Sunday alone, pushing its total collection to an impressive ₹53 crore.

The journey of “Shaitaan” at the domestic box office has been nothing short of remarkable. Opening to a strong start on Friday with ₹14.75 crore, the film witnessed a significant surge in earnings on Saturday, raking in ₹18.75 crore. Sunday proved to be equally fruitful, with the film adding another ₹20 crore to its burgeoning collection. Notably, “Shaitaan” maintained a solid 36.24 percent occupancy rate in Hindi on Sunday, further underscoring its widespread appeal among audiences.

Directed by Vikas Bahl and presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios, “Shaitaan” is a collaborative production effort led by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. The film serves as the Hindi adaptation of the 2023 Gujarati horror hit “Vash,” originally helmed by Krishnadev Yagnik.

One of the film’s highlights is Jyotika’s portrayal of a mother, sharing screen space with actor Janki Bodiwala. Reflecting on her role, Jyotika expressed, “There are a lot of sequences in the film that ignite motherhood, and I don’t know if I want to reveal them, but one of them was a very important reason why I said yes to this film also.” She further emphasized the film’s poignant exploration of parental responsibilities and the protective journey of raising a teenage daughter.

With its captivating storyline, stellar performances, and gripping narrative, “Shaitaan” continues to leave an indelible mark on audiences, reaffirming its status as a must-watch thriller of the year.
