Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has been announced as the recipient of the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera at the upcoming Locarno Film Festival. The award celebrates his illustrious career in Indian cinema, with special screenings and events planned to honor his contributions.

Scheduled to be presented on August 10 at the picturesque Piazza Grande, the award will recognize Shah Rukh Khan’s remarkable journey through Indian cinema. Artistic Director of the Locarno Film Festival, Giona A. In addition to receiving the prestigious award, Shah Rukh Khan will participate in a special conversation at the Forum @Spazio Cinema on August 11, engaging with festival attendees and cinephiles.

The Pardo alla Carriera has previously been bestowed upon notable figures such as Tsai Ming-liang, Claudia Cardinale, Johnnie To, Francesco Rosi, Harry Belafonte, and Jane Birkin, highlighting Shah Rukh Khan’s esteemed company in cinema history.
