Excitement is building as renowned filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari gears up to embark on the grand cinematic journey of “Ramayana.” The highly anticipated film features an impressive cast, with Ranbir Kapoor taking on the iconic role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi portraying Sita, and Yash, the celebrated star of “KGF,” stepping into the shoes of Ravana.
According to reports, Nitesh Tiwari is ready to commence the filming of “Ramayana” around February 2024, setting the stage for a monumental retelling of the legendary epic. All three principal actors have undergone meticulous look tests, ensuring that their portrayals bring the characters to life on the silver screen. Nitesh Tiwari, along with co-creator Ravi Udyawar, is diligently working to transform this epic tale into a visual spectacle for audiences worldwide.
The shooting schedule for “Ramayana” is set to unfold in stages. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will kick off the production around February 2024, focusing on the initial part of the trilogy, which primarily delves into the narrative of Lord Ram and Sita, culminating in the pivotal Sita Haran episode. Their filming journey will extend until August 2024, marking the completion of “Ramayana: Part One.”
Yash, the notable Kannada actor, will make a later entry into the production, commencing his shoot from July. His character, Ravana, will come to the forefront in the second part of the film, which is centered in Sri Lanka.
A source close to the project shed light on the film’s ambitious use of VFX, stating, “Nitesh Tiwari and team have been working actively on creating the world of Ramayana, and the blueprint is finally all ready. The VFX plates are prepared by the Oscar-Winning Company, DNEG, and it’s a world that would blow away the minds of audiences. However, the strength of Ramayana won’t be the visual but the simplistic storytelling and compelling inter-character emotions.”
Intriguingly, initial reports had suggested that Alia Bhatt would be part of the project, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Yash. However, recent developments have confirmed her departure from the film. This decision was primarily attributed to the extensive pre-production work required for the magnum opus and scheduling conflicts.
As the “Ramayana” film project unfolds, fans eagerly await this cinematic retelling of an epic tale that continues to captivate audiences across generations. With an exceptional cast, cutting-edge VFX, and a commitment to storytelling, this rendition promises to transport viewers into a world of timeless legends and heroic narratives.
