The second edition of the Zomato Feeding India Concert witnessed a glamorous turn as VIP guests Radhika Merchant and Anand Piramal made their way to the event in Mumbai on Saturday evening. The high-profile duo, part of the Ambani family by marriage, arrived separately in a fleet of high-security vehicles, underscoring their prominence at the event.

Radhika Merchant, married to Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and Anand Piramal, married to Isha Ambani, the couple’s daughter, were seen arriving at the concert venue, Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Their presence added a layer of glamour and exclusivity to the high-profile event.

The concert, headlined by Grammy-winning artist Dua Lipa, also featured performances by Jonita Gandhi, Talwiinder, and others. Lipa, who last performed in India in 2019, expressed her fondness for the country, stating, “One of the best parts about touring the world is getting to be a tourist in so many new places, and I always find the best things to do in Asia, especially in India.”

The 29-year-old singer, who arrived in Mumbai on Thursday, was spotted enjoying the city’s vibrant culture. On the same night, she dined with her boyfriend, actor Callum Turner, at Veronica’s, a popular Bandra restaurant.

Zomato CEO’s Stand Against Freebies

The Feeding India Concert, organized by Zomato, also made headlines earlier when Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal publicly criticized individuals seeking free tickets. In a bold statement on X (formerly Twitter), Goyal said, “No special favours—even for me. I just paid for my tickets on the @zomato app for the Feeding India concert. Please buy yours too and support the cause.”

Dua Lipa’s Connection with India

This concert marked Dua Lipa’s second visit to India in 2023, having vacationed with her family in Delhi and Jodhpur last December. Her admiration for the country and its people reflects in her warm interactions and enthusiasm for performing here.

The Zomato Feeding India Concert successfully combined celebrity glamour and a charitable cause, creating a memorable evening for fans and supporters alike.
