Following the completion of his highly anticipated films Salaar: Part 1 and Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas has signed on for another exciting venture with director Hanu Raghavapudi. The new film, which is rumored to be titled Fauji, was officially launched on Saturday in Hyderabad with a traditional pooja ceremony. The event marked the beginning of what promises to be another epic in Prabhas’ illustrious career.
The launch ceremony, hosted by the producers Mythri Movie Makers, was adorned with fresh flowers, and the film’s script was placed before an idol of Ganesha. Although the title of the film has not been officially announced, the presence of celebrated actors such as Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and dancer Imanvi in the lead roles has already created significant buzz. Prashanth Neel, the director of Salaar, was also in attendance to offer his best wishes to Prabhas.
Fans of Prabhas gathered outside the Mythri Movie Makers’ office, eager to catch a glimpse of the star. A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) shows the crowd cheering, “Rebel Star Prabhas Hanu,” as his SUV exited the building. Many fans tried to follow the vehicle in hopes of greeting the actor in person.
The film’s official synopsis teases a compelling story set in the 1940s, focusing on a warrior who rises from the shadows to bring justice to the people of his motherland. The narrative, which blends historical fiction with alternate history, explores themes of war, buried injustices, and forgotten truths that history has kept hidden.
In addition to this project, Prabhas has several other films lined up. He will make a cameo appearance in Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming film Kannappa, which also stars Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal. Prabhas is currently shooting for a horror-comedy titled The Raja Saab, directed by Maruthi, featuring Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan. The film is scheduled for release on April 10 next year, just in time for summer. Prabhas is also set to begin shooting for the sequel to Salaar, which will see the return of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and others reprising their roles.
