Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, the epic action saga directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, continues its thunderous reign at the global box office. As it marks its triumphant tenth day since release, the film has shattered yet another milestone, crossing the ₹625 crore mark worldwide.

Released in multiple languages – Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi on December 22 last year, the film has showcased unparalleled box office dominance, captivating audiences across various regions. The narrative of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is set in the fictitious city of Khansaar, revolving around the bond between two friends, Deva (played by Prabhas) and Vardha (portrayed by Prithviraj). Hombale Films reported that the film collected a colossal ₹178.7 crore on its opening day, surging past previous Indian title records for 2023. It notably surpassed the opening day figures of Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbusters, Pathaan and Jawan, as well as Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

Produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films, Salaar boasts an ensemble cast including Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Sriya Reddy, Tinnu Anand, and Jagapathi Babu. This collaboration marks the grand union of director Prashanth Neel and Prabhas, with the latter portraying the titular character, Salaar. The film’s success has sparked anticipation for its sequel, Salaar: Part 2 – Shauryanga Parvam.
