In an exciting update for fans of Telugu cinema, Director Maruthi has unveiled a fresh glimpse of his upcoming film, The Raja Saab, featuring the charismatic Prabhas. Released on Monday evening, the ‘fan India’ glimpse has set the stage for the film’s anticipated release on April 10, 2025.
The 45-second teaser showcases Prabhas in a stylish new avatar, driving up on a bike in a casual shirt and blazer. As he dismounts, he holds flowers and checks his reflection in a nearby car’s rearview mirror, exuding a confident, laid-back charm. The glimpse is being celebrated as a return to ‘vintage’ Prabhas, offering a refreshing contrast to his recent intense roles.
The film, described as a ‘horror romantic comedy,’ marks a significant departure from Prabhas’ recent projects, where he was known for his powerful performances in blockbusters such as Baahubali, Saaho, Adipurush, Salaar, and Kalki 2898 AD. The official X (formerly Twitter) page for The Raja Saab highlighted the film’s promise with a teaser that read: “Mass uuu….Class uuu….Swag uuu…Unlimited entertainment uuu..April 10th,2025 Theatres lo Vaibhavam (greatness) guaranteed…..Let’s all celebrate our Darling #Prabhas. #TheRajaSaab Fan India Glimpse.”
The first look of Prabhas from The Raja Saab was revealed during Sankranthi in January, showcasing him in a more relaxed role, which is a departure from his recent high-octane characters. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People’s Media Factory and with music by Thaman, the film has already completed 40% of its shooting. A new schedule is set to commence from August 2.
As for future projects, Prabhas is set to reprise his role as Deva in Salaar: Part 2—Shouryanga Parvam. He will also star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit and make a cameo appearance in Vishnu Manchu-starrer Kannappa.
