In a commendable start at the Indian box office, “Main Atal Hoon,” directed by Ravi Jadhav and featuring Pankaj Tripathi as the late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, made its debut on January 19. The biographical drama, written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav, captures the life and legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, one of India’s most revered political figures, who was honored with the Bharat Ratna, the country’s highest civilian award.
Pankaj Tripathi’s portrayal of Atal Bihari Vajpayee has already garnered acclaim, with The Hindustan Times praising his solid performance. Tripathi also shared insights into his preparation for the role, recounting attendance at two of Atal ji’s political rallies to capture the essence of the late PM’s public presence.
