Munjya Box Office Collection Day 4: Sharvari's Film Nears ₹25 Crore Mark

The horror-comedy film “Munjya” is making waves at the box office, steadily climbing towards the ₹25 crore milestone. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, “Munjya” has garnered attention for its intriguing storyline and impressive performances.

On its fourth day at the box office, “Munjya” witnessed a slight dip in collections, earning ₹4 crore according to a Sacnilk report. However, this dip didn’t deter its overall success, as the film crossed the ₹20 crore mark, reaching a total collection of ₹23.25 crore.

Starring Abhay Verma as Bittu and Sharvari Wagh as Bela, “Munjya” revolves around Bittu’s encounter with an angry ghost named Munjya after he returns to his ancestral village. The film follows his attempts to protect himself and Bela from the vengeful spirit, leading to a series of hilarious and thrilling events.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to X (formerly Twitter) to highlight the surprising success of “Munjya.” He noted that the film surpassed all expectations and predictions, defying pre-release estimations and showcasing better trends than several star-studded films released in recent years.

Abhay Verma, who plays a pivotal role in the film, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity in a recent interview with India Today. He shared how being part of a project like “Munjya” was a game-changer for him, especially given the trust and support from renowned creators like Dinesh Vijan and Pooja Vijan.

“Munjya” marks the third installment in Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, following the success of “Stree” in 2018 and “Bhediya” in 2022. With its strong performance at the box office and positive reception from audiences, “Munjya” continues to solidify its position as a noteworthy addition to the genre.

As the film progresses towards the ₹25 crore mark, industry experts and fans alike are eager to see how “Munjya” further shapes the landscape of horror-comedy films in Indian cinema.
