Ma Dong-seok Sparks Speculation of Collaboration with Prabhas After Sharing Salaar Part 2 Poster

South Korean star Ma Dong-seok, also known as Don Lee, has fans speculating about a potential collaboration with Indian superstar Prabhas after he gave a shoutout to Salaar Part 2 on Instagram. Dong-seok, known for his iconic role in Train to Busan and more recently as Gilgamesh in Marvel’s Eternals, shared a poster of Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam on his Instagram Stories, adding his own photo with a thumbs-up emoji. This gesture has fueled existing rumors that he might play the antagonist in Prabhas’ upcoming film Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The possibility of Dong-seok’s involvement in Spirit has stirred excitement online, with fans on social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) discussing what his appearance could mean. One fan wrote, “South Korean superstar #DonLee watched #Prabhas’ Salaar and shared it on his Insta Story! Could this mean he’s officially confirmed for Spirit?” Another fan tweeted, “Imagine Rebel star #Prabhas vs macho man #DonLee in Salaar!”

The excitement around Salaar Part 2 intensified on Friday when Hombale Films, the production house behind the movie, shared a teaser video of Prabhas as Salaar to announce the commencement of filming. Hombale Films’ founder Vijay Kiragandur said, “At Hombale, we believe in the power of storytelling that transcends borders. Our collaboration with Prabhas is a step towards crafting timeless cinema that will inspire and entertain for generations to come.”

Directed by KGF creator Prashanth Neel, Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam promises to continue the epic action and high-stakes storytelling that captivated audiences in the first film. The movie is part of a packed lineup for Prabhas, who also has films such as The Raja Saab, Spirit, Kalki 2, and Fauji in the works.

Dong-seok’s career began in 2004 with Dance with the Wind, and he has since starred in notable films such as The Good, the Bad, the Weird, Insadong Scandal, and Perfect Game. His performance as the self-sacrificing Sang-hwa in Train to Busan gained him international recognition. In 2021, Dong-seok made his Hollywood debut as Gilgamesh in Eternals, bringing his unique screen presence to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With fans eagerly awaiting official confirmation of Dong-seok’s involvement in Spirit, his Instagram post has set off a wave of enthusiasm and anticipation for a collaboration that could bring South Korean and Indian cinema fans together in an unprecedented way.
