Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finally spoken out about the persistent death threats he has been receiving from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Addressing the media at a recent promotional event for his upcoming film Sikandar, the actor said he believes his fate is in the hands of God.
When asked about the threats, Salman responded, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai.” This translates to, “It’s all up to God, Allah. What is written is written. That’s all.”
Security Challenges for Salman Khan
The 59-year-old actor also acknowledged the difficulties of living under heavy security following the threats and the shooting incident near his Mumbai residence last year.
“Sometimes, having to move around with so many people becomes a problem,” he said at the press meet, which was held under tight security and off-camera. He further added, “Galaxy, shoot, shoot Galaxy. No detours.”
In April 2023, two men on a motorcycle fired multiple shots outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where Salman Khan resides. Investigations later revealed that the attack was intended to intimidate the actor and was allegedly ordered by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi from jail.
Lawrence Bishnoi and the Blackbuck Case
Bishnoi, who is currently imprisoned in Gujarat, has long harbored animosity toward Salman Khan due to the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, in which the actor was accused. The Bishnoi community considers blackbucks sacred, and the gangster has reportedly vowed revenge against the actor. Over the years, Salman has received multiple death threats linked to the case.
