Rajinikanth's "Lal Salaam" Continues Strong Box Office Run, Expected to Earn ₹3 Crore on Day 3

The fervor surrounding Rajinikanth’s latest film “Lal Salaam” shows no signs of waning as the sports drama powers through its third day at the box office. Despite Rajinikanth’s role being an extended cameo, his star power has undoubtedly contributed to the film’s success alongside lead actors Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth.

As per the latest update from Sacnilk.com, “Lal Salaam” is anticipated to rake in nearly ₹3 crore on its third day of release, marking a commendable performance at the box office. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the film opened to positive reviews on February 9, setting the stage for its continued success.

The box office figures reveal that “Lal Salaam” collected ₹2.93 crore net in India across all languages on its first Sunday. Impressively, the film garnered ₹3.55 crore on its opening day and followed up with ₹3.25 crore on Day 2, bringing the total gross after three days to ₹9.73 crore. Additionally, the occupancy rates for the Tamil and Telugu versions stood at 29.24% and 15.24%, respectively, highlighting the film’s broad appeal across different regions.

“Lal Salaam” revolves around the rivalry between Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth’s characters, tracing their journey from childhood adversaries to adult foes against the backdrop of their village torn by communal tensions between Hindus and Muslims. Rajinikanth’s portrayal of Moideen Bhai adds depth to the narrative, with supporting performances from Jeevitha Rajashekar, Nirosha, and an ensemble cast that includes Vikranth, Senthil, Thambi Ramaiah, and others.

Director Aishwarya Rajinikanth, returning to the director’s chair after an eight-year hiatus, expressed her joy at being back on set. In an interview with Hindustan Times, she shared her experience, likening it to reconnecting with an old friend and expressing gratitude for the support of her family during her time away from filmmaking.
