Renowned actor and social media influencer Kusha Kapila has candidly shared her encounter with online bullying following her announcement of separation from husband Zorawar Ahluwalia earlier this year. During a recent appearance at the India Today Conclave, Kusha Kapila opened up about the challenges she faced and the strategies she employs to cope with such adversity.
Kusha and Zorawar made their divorce public in June, a significant decision that prompted mixed reactions from their followers and the online community. Discussing her experience, Kusha Kapila revealed, “I actually allot a certain time of the day to crying and feeling bad about it.” She elaborated on her approach, stating, “I give it exactly half an hour, and then I move on with my life. There’s so much to do.”
Addressing the circumstances that led her to share such a personal aspect of her life, Kusha shared, “I was honestly bullied into sharing my personal news. This is the first time I’m sharing that. I was 100% bullied into sharing it.” Despite feeling compelled, she emphasized her satisfaction with having shared the news on her terms, ensuring that her private life remained within her control. She concluded, “You have to put on blinders.”
Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Ahluwalia had tied the knot in 2017 after dating for a significant period. Reflecting on their love story, Kusha recalled their initial meeting, which took place at a friend’s wedding, marking the beginning of their journey together.
When they decided to part ways, Kusha had shared in a statement, “Zorawar and I have mutually decided to part ways. This hasn’t been an easy decision by any measure, but we know it’s the right one at this point in our lives. The love and life we have shared together continues to mean everything for us but sadly, what we seek currently for ourselves doesn’t align. We gave it our all, until we couldn’t anymore.”
On the professional front, Kusha Kapila has been making waves in the film industry. She was recently seen in the movie “Thank You For Coming,” featuring a star-studded cast including Bhumi Pednekar, Dolly Singh, Shehnaaz Gill, Shibani Bedi, Pradhuman Singh Mall, Natasha Rastogi, Gautmik, Sushant Divgikar, Saloni Daini, Dolly Ahluwalia, and Karan Kundrra. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2023 before its official release.
Prior to this, Kusha captivated audiences with her performance in Shilpa Shetty’s film “Sukhee,” alongside Chaitanya Chaudhary, Amit Sadh, and Kiran Kumar, which hit screens just last month.
