After their collaboration in “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor are all set to team up once again for the much-anticipated sequel to the 2012 hit, Cocktail 2. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film promises to take audiences on a romantic journey filled with humor and light-hearted moments.

Following the success of their previous work together, Shahid and Kriti will be at the center of a new love triangle in Cocktail 2, similar to the storyline of the original film. The prequel featured a stellar cast, including Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan, and Diana Penty, and now the sequel aims to build on that success with fresh dynamics.

A source close to the development shared insights with Pinkvilla, saying, “After the success of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are reuniting for Cocktail 2. They loved the script and are excited to venture into the world of this romantic comedy.” The source also mentioned that producer Dinesh Vijan, a fan of the romantic comedy genre, feels that Cocktail 2 is the perfect script to bring this genre back into fashion.

The screenplay for Cocktail 2 has been written by Luv Ranjan, who is known for his mastery of romantic comedy. Luv will also be involved in the film’s creative process as a partner, ensuring that the script is filled with humor, light-hearted moments, and the core theme of friendship.

The source continued, “Luv is a master of this genre, and the combination of Luv and Dinoo (Dinesh Vijan) is something to look forward to. The entire team of Cocktail is bullish about the film, especially with two of the most likeable actors of the present generation, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.”

Directed by Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 is expected to begin filming in May 2025, and fans are already eagerly anticipating the reunion of this talented duo on the big screen.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor is also gearing up for his upcoming film Deva, in which he stars opposite Pooja Hegde. Additionally, the actor has signed a new project with director Vishal Bharadwaj, further adding to his already busy schedule. Fans of Shahid and Kriti can’t wait to see what Cocktail 2 has in store for them
