Kesari Chapter 2 Day 6 Box Office Collection: Akshay Kumar's Film Inches Closer To Rs 50 Crore

Akshay Kumar’s much-anticipated historical drama, Kesari Chapter 2, continues to show impressive performance at the box office as it nears the Rs 50-crore mark. The film, which hit theatres on April 18, is proving to be a significant hit, with its total collection standing at Rs 42.5 crore as of Day 6 (April 23), after it earned Rs 3.5 crore on Wednesday, reported Sacnilk.

The movie has been attracting significant footfall, particularly in the Hindi market, where it registered an occupancy rate of 11.81 percent on its first Wednesday. The morning shows had a modest occupancy of 6.47 percent, while the afternoon screenings saw a slight increase to 11.74 percent. Evening shows remained steady at 11.52 percent, and night shows peaked at 17.5 percent.

The sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Kesari, Kesari Chapter 2 is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and explores the aftermath of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. Akshay Kumar reprises his role as a fearless lawyer, C Sankaran Nair, who is dedicated to bringing justice to the victims of this horrific event. Alongside Kumar, the film also stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan in pivotal roles.

Produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape Of Good Films, Kesari Chapter 2 has been highly anticipated due to its compelling storyline and powerful performances. Ahead of its release, the makers held a special screening in Mumbai, where Akshay Kumar, along with his wife Twinkle Khanna, was present. During the event, the actor emphasized the importance of not missing the first 10 minutes of the film, calling it a crucial part of the story.

In a media interaction, Akshay Kumar shared his excitement for the film, saying, “When you come to watch this film, do not miss the beginning. It is one of the most important films. The first 10 minutes of this film are the most important thing. I am sure that this film will reach you through your camera. The people who have decided to watch this film will know that this film has not been late. It has come at the right time.”

With its strong box office collection and positive early reviews, Kesari Chapter 2 is expected to continue its successful run and may soon join the coveted Rs 50-crore club, cementing its place as a major success for the year.
