Set against the haunting backdrop of Buckinghamshire, the narrative follows Detective Jasmeet Bhamra, portrayed by Kareena Kapoor, as she delves into the unsettling murder of a 10-year-old boy. The trailer opens with Jasmeet interrogating various suspects about their whereabouts on the ominous evening of November 14, immediately setting a tense and foreboding tone.

As the investigation unfolds, tensions escalate within the volatile community when a Muslim teenager is apprehended, igniting suspicions and unrest among locals. Amid mounting pressure and widespread distrust, Detective Bhamra faces numerous obstacles, including accusations of disrupting community harmony with her relentless pursuit of justice. The trailer teases a labyrinthine plot where everyone is a suspect, and no one can be trusted, keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.

Joining Kareena Kapoor in this riveting thriller are talented actors Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen, each adding depth to the intricate storyline. The film boasts a compelling script penned by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, promising a narrative rich in suspense and emotional complexity.

The Buckingham Murders also marks Kareena Kapoor’s debut as a producer, in collaboration with Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films, alongside industry stalwarts Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa Kapoor. Expressing her enthusiasm for the project, Kareena has previously shared that she was drawn to the role due to its nuanced portrayal and depth, citing inspiration from Kate Winslet’s acclaimed performance in Mare of Easttown. In an earlier interview with Variety, she remarked, “I love Mare of Easttown, and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I’ve really been dying to do.”

Directed by Hansal Mehta, known for his adept storytelling and compelling character-driven narratives, The Buckingham Murders promises to be a standout addition to the thriller genre, blending intense drama with profound human emotions.
