Janhvi Kapoor, currently on a promotional spree for her upcoming film Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, recently visited the Muppathamman Temple in Chennai for the first time. The actress shared that the temple was her late mother Sridevi’s favorite place to visit in Chennai. Janhvi posted pictures from her visit, where she is seen wearing a lehenga and posing against the temple backdrop. She completed her look with loose hair and traditional jewelry. In her post, Janhvi wrote, “Visited Muppathamman temple for the first time. Mumma’s most favourite place to visit in Chennai.”
The pictures received warm responses from fans and friends alike. Janhvi’s Bawaal co-star Varun Dhawan commented, “Masi whose actually your sister,” while designer Falguni Peacock dropped a series of heart emojis.
A few weeks ago, Janhvi shared glimpses of her Chennai home, now available for rent on Airbnb. The photos show Janhvi standing in front of the mansion, with additional pictures offering views of the living area, bedroom, garden, and a bird’s-eye view of the property. The decor prominently features white. Janhvi captioned the post, “This is where I go to escape. You can request to book it now on @airbnb.”
Discussing her Chennai home with Airbnb, Janhvi said, “My most cherished childhood memories are of spending summers with my family at our coastal oasis in Chennai, India. This home has always felt like a sanctuary, and I want to share that same feeling with my fans. Which is why for the first time ever, I’m opening our home up to a few guests to have the full Kapoor family experience. That means a lot of relaxing, eating South Indian food, doing yoga, and trying my mother’s natural skincare recipes. I can’t wait to share it all with you.”
